   I would expect that you might be able to get a timeshare for $40,000 at Whistler.

   There are plenty of other resorts to check into in Canada

   What is your criteria for ’ski resort’?

   You might also want to check out resorts in Ontario and Quebec, Blue Mountain and Mt. Tremblant respectively.
   Blue Mountain caters to the weekend skiers from Toronto and Mt. Tremblant for the skiers from Montreal.

   You could try looking through MLS.ca to find listings near a ski resort village to see if any of them match your criteria.
