ski resort
Nick M asked:

I have an 08 Specialized Hardrock Comp and a 08 Specialized HRXC disc. I was wondering if I could use these bikes for lift-assisted riding at Attitash Ski resort in the summer.

That depends… If you’re taking the mellow way down the hill then your Hardrock will be fine. It might even hold up to some occasional freeriding, but if your planning to make it do repeated drops and jumps (and if your a super smooth rider), then you will do damage to parts and maybe your frame too.

Well they certainly aren’t designed for big DH. Can you get down the hill taking it easy? Yes, but they will be far from ideal for this use. Just don’t fly down or catch big air and you’ll be OK. If you want to do this on a regular basis you need a better bike made for the speed and abuse.
