I don’t want a separate kids ski area where even the kids will be bored to death after 2 days. I want lots of easy adult slopes with seat or gondola lifts, so that we all can ski together. With reasonably priced slope-side accomodations, if possible.

definatly ski in minnesota because it has big hills than like hills for people to warm up on and lots of short chair lifts and tow ropes
Sorry I don’t ski!
Well I would have to say Snowshoe West Virginia. They are very kid friendly they have a whole area just for kids. Me and my brother learned there and they let us stay together the whole time. Plus it is absolutely beautiful there!
I hope you have fun!!
Whiteface in lake placid, ny is great.
they have lots of easier trails, and they have a lots of chairlifts, you’ll never have to take a t-bar.
it’s a huge mountain, so the kids definately won’t get bored(:
have fun!
Probably Utah. Great snow and they banned snowboarders at a few of the resorts so you wouldn’t have to worry about them. Very family friendly.
Okemo, VT is great for kids!!! =]
There is a ski school, a day care, and plenty of activities.
I suggest Jackson Gore…..its a great hotel……good for kids also!
I’ll second that on Okemo, Vermont. I have run many youth group trips to Okemo and have found no better all-around ski area for families (at least in the Northeast.) The learning area has a Magic Carpet and most of the lifts are detachable or at least have an easy loading area. The ski school is also excellent with very good instructors.
Only Smugglers Notch (In My Opinion) has a better organized ski school program, but I think Smuggs’ terrain is too spread out for families with a large difference of degree of skiing ability and the lifts to the higher terrain are doubles only, so if splitting up the kids is a problem, Smuggs may not be the best choice. At Okemo most of the lifts are Quads so no one has to ride alone.
Okemo isn’t cheap, but ski & stay packages are reasonable when compared to other resorts. I also like Okemo because you can access terrain for all abilities from both summits. The easier slopes criss-cross the mountain and allow for longer runs. There are beginner areas, but there is plenty of easier terrain all over the resort.
As for customer service overall, Okemo is also one of the best resorts I’ve dealt with. I used to run trips every weekend at several VT resorts and none of them were as easy to deal with as Okemo.
